Incompetent. Installed a gas valve on our water heater on March 28, was there less than 15 min. On March 30th no hot water, called them out to check on hot water heater, second plumber says 1st plumber never turned on gas valve correctly and had it up too hot and it shut it self off, relit pilot and left after 10 min. On April 2 again no hot water, I had to watch one YouTube video to see that there is an emergency feature on my gas valve to automatically shut it off if you do not turn it off for 10 min to cut the gas before lighting the gas.
Following the instructions i did it myself, might want to have your employees watch it before tbey blow up something. And today you try to charge my husband for coming out when I never received a bill or anything.

The review by Kate Cowan is a false review as it is not a review for Heys plumbing. It's an all out lie about John hHeys Sr. Neither Heys plumbing or John Heys Sr have ever worked for Kate and Brian Cowan. I have reported this to held a dozen times. Provided proof of my company I.P.S. Integrated Plumbing business transactions with the Cowans as well as the dba and tax ID # for I.P.S.
Furthermore the Cowans knowingly admit to submitting a false review to get my attention. But each reimbursement for a softner system that they allowed the warranty to expire on and expect myself to cover the cost of a new unit. The amount claimed by Kate is without consideration to additional parts and labor. Brian Cowan informed me via text that the review would only be removed upon purchasing them a replacement water softner system. These text were sent to Yelp but they continue to allow her false claims up.

Worst plumbing experience. Incompetent and negligent. Drilled a hole into my dining room because their recommended leak specialist said the leak is here. Come to say, there was no leak in the pipes. His recommendation is too drill more holes in the dining room. Nope. Learned the homes in my community use post tension foundation. So what you say? You Never, Never, Never, drill into a foundation with post tension.
Yet Heys plumbing still did. Here is the worst part, the next plumbers we hire finds two leaks in the plumbing system by testing the pipes without drilling any holes into the dining room. Wtf is going on? Now Heys is threatening to sue for $1400.00

The team at Heys were all great. I had a few things repaired and had several different plumbers come out. All my interactions with Heys were positive and I appreciated their timeliness and flexibility with scheduling. Work was all done to a high level and pricing was fair. Thanks Dale, Brian, Diana, and the rest of the team!

Heys plumbing did right by us today. Our cold water mysteriously stopped flowing to our guest bathroom. Corey was methodical and professional, had our water flowing in short order. We were lucky his first method succeeded; but without his knowledge and experience, it could have been a much costlier fix. Thank you, Heys, your're #1 on our call list in the future.

Hopefully you will never have a bad plumbing leak late on a Friday afternoon of a Holiday weekend. We did and we called Heys Plumbing to do an after hours fix. They were amazing and all things considered very reasonably priced for the timing and problem. Had they not been able to come when they did, we would have had been in terrible shape. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Heys Plumbing!

I strongly recommend this plumbing company to anyone seeking excellence in what they do. We had leaking fixtures that were 15 years old and very specialized. They went above and beyond to figure out what we needed and how to get what was needed to fix our problem. They were on time, professional, very neat and tidy, and kept us informed every step of the way. I am thrilled to be able to recommend and know a great hometown plumbing company.

I was very impressed with the prompt and courteous service by Heys plumbing today. I had a bathtub drain pipe burst in the wall of my home causing water damage. Within a half an hour Corey came to evaluate and repair. Within an hour the damaged pipe was replaced and all leaks were resolved. Thank you so much for your service.

Let me start by saying I had an awful experience with Heys Plumbing. It started with the clerk, whose name I forget (possibly Sienna or Sierra). She was absent minded, repeatedly asked me the same questions over and over after I explained things to her and neglected to even schedule an appointment for me when I called several times to do just that.
I kept waiting for a call that never came. So, finally after a couple weeks went by and I didn't receive a call, I called back and found out that there was a different clerk. I was told, "Oh, she doesn't work here anymore." To top it off, she never even entered my information or request for a consultation into their computers so I had to start the whole process over again. Luckily, the new clerk seemed to be very competent and apologized for the ineptitude of the previous clerk.
I told them exactly the specific part that I wanted to be changed in the shower. After a few days, I finally scheduled an appointment for someone to come out to give us an estimate. But it didnt get any better from there. So the plumber came to our rental, did his assessment and gave us what he considered an estimate. He gave us a quote, which was wildly more expensive than my first plumber's estimate was, and said he would have to reschedule so he could get the part that he needed.
But then he said, "But if I break a part while trying to fix the original problem, it's gonna cost you a lot more." Wait, what? Was he serious? He was telling us that if HE broke something, WE would have to pay extra for it. It was at this moment, I knew I would never use Heys Plumbing. Besides the fact that he never called us back to schedule a time to fix the issue, I wasn't going to use them anyway.
I went back to my original plumber and begged him to fix the problem, which he did, very easily, quickly and for far less money. Save yourself the headache and find a reliable, trustworthy plumbing service. You won't find it here.

After this company came into our community to fix a main line, they over pressurized the line and cause my toilet to break. After refusing to accept responsibility, they are saying they are not responsible for anything that happens in the home as a result of their repairs. I will never be doing business with this company in the future and will be filing complaints with our management company to resolve.

Had a toilet in my condo that was going to overflow because of a clog in the main line. Diana in the office was great at keeping me updating on the arrival time of the plumber, Gustavo, to fix the problem. He showed up in the early portion of the window that was given to me and got straight to work. The clog was more severe than either of us expected, but he took care of it fast and helped out with a couple of other issues that he noticed. Really appreciate all Heys did.

The pilot light on my hot water heater wouldn't stay lit. I called Heys Plumbing this morning and this afternoon Jason came out and replaced the pilot assembly and all is good again. Jason was great. He immediately went to the source of the problem, had the parts with him and made the repair. Thank you.

The day started out on a very sour note. Standing water in both the shower in master bath and the tub in 2nd bath and toilets not flushing. Called a company to deal with a clog in the drain but was told they could not come out for 4 days. Can't not have restroom use for that long as my wife and I are both unwell and need them to be available. Was referred to Heys by a friend and as luck would have it they were able to set up someone to come by ASAP! Jason showed up a couple of hours later and set to work to snake the drain.
Unfortunately the access pipes in these homes in OO2 and OO1 are not very large and he could only use a small snake for the 2" acccess. Bad news was the snake was not big enough and could not go far enough. Jason kept at it but it was futile. He sent a camera down the line and it was determined that the clog was out in the yard which meant maybe digging up the driveway and/or yard to go down 7'.
Now we are talking big money and I'm feeling sick to my stomach all over again. Jason was in no way pushing for this and I could tell it was the last thing he wanted to do as well. As a final suggestion he said we could open the drywall in the garage by the washing machine and use a wider pipe to utilize a bigger snake. Success! He was able to clear the drain of the clog that ended up being 10' out in the street!
Even more big money! I applaud Jason's work ethic and going above and beyond. I do believe that anyone else would have just said"you're going to have to dig" Heys Plumbing is my new go to place!

Between a plumbing crew (excellent singers BTW) who left my attic light on for 2 weeks, a sloppy drywall subcontractor who left unfinished dry wall patch work and tossed my old brass bathroom fixture, and an office manager(?) who told me she doesn't know why she needed to apologize to me any more than she already has.what's there not to like? But hey, thanks for the brand new shinny replacement bathroom fixture set you bought me. I am sure they will be just as valuable to my kids one day as the set I got from my parents' old house that I grew up with, which I can no longer use.

Thank You Dale, I don't get a chance to Yelp much. But, we are so grateful for you, you did it! You went way beyond our expectations and blow us away with caring and kindness and great service! We always know to call Heys Plumbing for any job big or small! But this job I wasn't sure you could do! That was moving our Gas Line! We thought it would be expensive and lots of work!
It took you less then an hour! Wow we had to leave you closed up our house nice and tight! We so appreciate your caring attitude! A BIG INCREDIBLE WONDERFUL THANK YOU! You Yelp'ers I really can't give these guys anything for the kindness! So I leave you with this! TELL EVERYONE SCREEM IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS! 1 IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IS Heys Plumbing! Call and ask for Dale and he'll take care of you!

Heys is one of the most respectable companies in the SCV. Anyone who has truly used their services knows that they stand by their work and will right any wrong. They have been in business for such a long time for a very good reason -- quality work by respectable people. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't really know them.

STAY FAR AWAY! We had NEVER come across a con man before. When we first met John Heys, he seemed lovely. We were so grateful to have found a plumber we could trust. No sooner than he had our trust, he stopped showing up. I'd wait, (worked from home) for up to 6-7 hours. ("I'll be there within the hour".over and over and over) In the interim, he has literally STOLEN $1,500 From us. Please pass the word - we'll get our money back. But our concern is that any one else also falls victim. -JOHN HEYS IS A CON MAN! -RUN the other way! This is his M.O.!

These guys are very good and reasonably priced. A week ago the water pipes in my laundry room burst. I had some other outfit come and fix the burst pipes (big mistake). During their investigation (other guys and not Heys) it was determined that my water regulator was bad and needed to be replaced. They quoted a price of $895! I am like WTF! Since I live near Heys, I decided to give them a call to replace the regulator.
They quoted me a price over the phone for $350.00. They came out to replace the regulator, but there was additional work that needed to be performed (new piping for the regulator).;-( They kept their word and only charged me $350.00. The work was very good and took less than 30 minutes on a Christmas Eve! Very happy with their work! I will use these guys for all my plumbing need in the future! Highly recommend!
