Underwhelmed to say the least. Wasted 2hrs this morning waiting for our first appt. and when I called to check in - twice - even they seemed to be unsurprised by both their tardiness and their poor communication. Too bad, I've heard good things about the company. But I know enough to know not to give my business to those who fail to respect customer time.

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I are in the market to convert to propane, calling several local suppliers we decided to go with George. On the phone the gentleman was informative and we felt their policies and prices were straightforward and fair. We were given a date for an estimate, which at first was fine. We were able to acquire a new dual fuel range sooner than anticipated and called asking if they could come sooner, making it clear that the original date was completely acceptable if they could not.

The man promised to come out earlier, we were so appreciative of this flexibility. That's when it all went down hill. He no showed and never bothered to call. my husband called and didn't get a callback for over 24 hours, once he did the representative said he would come out the next day. again no call, no show. We decided that hey, obviously they're busy and will just come on the original scheduled date. that was yesterday, well guess what?

No call, no show. We are calling other companies, but we've now wasted 3 weeks waiting on a company that is unprofessional, does not deliver on it's promises and doesn't have the decency to call when they've missed not 1, not 2, but 3 appointments, 3rd time is not a charm with George Propane. I wouldn't stop and get a propane tank for my BBQ grill from this company.

I cannot fathom how they've managed not only to have such high reviews - I can only think maybe y'all have a gas leak stemming from George's incompetence. nor can I understand how they've stayed in business with such disregard for customer service. Not that I think George cares, clearly they don't, but I will never recommend your company, you should really think long and hard about a product or lack thereof that inconveniences and wastes the time of hard working people who were going to give a lifetime of loyal service.

We switched to George Propane from a larger company after that company let our gas run out while we were away. It was the best decision! George Propane has a sensor in our tank that they monitor remotely so we can travel confidently knowing that our house will always have a gas supply. The staff are very friendly and have ready answers when we've called with questions. Additionally, they are absolutely fantastic with their response times. We are extremely happy with this company and recommend them to everyone we know who needs a propane company.

Please remember to thank the essential workers (from a distance) like propane delivery drivers & technicians that fix your gas equipment. Everyone still needs heat, hot water, and fuel to cook.

I have been using George Propane for more than 10 years. and have never had any problems. I find their propane prices are reasonable as well as their service calls. They have replaced two heating systems for me and the cost was reasonable in both cases.

Just had a service call in our new home and I could not recommend this company enough. customer service is spot on! They arrived promptly and went above and beyond. Our service tech Josh figured out our thermostat was defective and replaced it in under 30mins of arrival. he even came back right away and did a pressure test when I thought I smelled something, but turned out just to be the new baseboards. Josh answered all my questions and even gave advice on other things in my house. What an amazing experience!

Very rude customer service. We're without heat in January. Completely unprofessional.

UPDATE 4/12: So I followed up in person with Mike George of George Propane this morning. It was not an unpleasant conversation, and I believe he was genuine about his apology over all of the confusion. It appears that had my wife spoken to the normal dispatcher instead of the person she did, she would have been told correct information regarding their delivery policies, and that the amount of propane we had in the tank should conceivably have lasted until Monday, when the delivery would have occurred. Instead, she was forced to deal with a person who I feel should never be allowed to deal with the general public in any customer service capacity.

While I can only speculate, I expect this person will likely deny any wrongdoing on her part when asked by Mr. George; however, that is not for me to deal with any longer. I recall a saying about reaping what you sow, and such. So as for now, Mike agreed to review the information he has, offered a credit for part of the emergency delivery fee, and took my contact information, presumably to call me at some point later on with an update to the whole situation.

While my initial reviews of this company reflect my initial experience, I will be updating them with updated information to reflect my more positive conversation with Mike George. Also, I noticed a review regarding a "Valerie" that is employed there, that ranked as an experience similar to mine. It seems this is not the first.

I have to say, I just had to deal with one of the most unprofessional companies on the phone I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. My wife and I are renting a large house in Worthington, MA along with another couple who are unfortunately out of town on a family emergency. The husband of the other couple usually deals with the propane. services, and we last filled the tank in January.

He suggested that I take a quick check on the propane levels to gauge how we were doing over the winter, and when I looked yesterday, we were at 8%. Naturally, I was concerned about how much we had used over just a short time, we weren't in the position to evaluate how, but only to ensure we would.
