I have used Baxter now on multiple occasions. We had a pipe break this weekend for our water heater and were without hot water for the last 2 days. I left a message with Baxter's answering service on Sunday and they called me immediately Monday morning at 7:45 to schedule a service call. They had a repair crew at my house by 10. The crew was courteous, fast and efficient.
The price was completely reasonable. I couldn't be happier and I'm happy that called Baxter before and will continue to do so in the future. We highly recommend Baxter Plumbing!

Needed a drain blockage cleared, called 10 different companies no luck. Baxter said we can be there tomorrow and they were. Travis the drain tech was great, I mean he was great! Located the drain line and had it cleared and draining in a short time. Made some great suggestions kinda of a just in case this happens again. Kelly in the office was very helpful get the appt set. Pricing is more than fair. I highly recommend Baxter Plumbing!.

I called Baxter Plumbing after having a sewage smell in my laundry room. They were very thorough on the phone, asking questions to make sure the person who came out would have the tools necessary to find the problem. I have had several backups in my sewer line previously. Travis came out, he was on time and explained what he would do, had me run water at every faucet, bath and laundry and went under the house to check for leaks, ran a camera back up the line under the house, and down the drain to the city sewer.
Found a break and several offsets in the drain. Made recommendations concerning needed repairs, and suggested that I have my water lines insulated, and gave me a copy of the video he took. He was very professional and thorough. I now have a plumber I can trust to put in my contacts.

Travis at Baxter Plumbing saved the day for us! We had a clog in our mainline to the street that needed immediate attention. Baxter was able to hop right on it -- on a late-Friday afternoon, no less -- and clear the blockage. Both Travis and the gal who scheduled the appointment were friendly and professional, setting clear expectations on what to expect on the timing and costs. Thanks, Baxter.

We had a major issue with sewage line for our whole building, and Baxter plumbing found time for us on the same day. We had a plumber come on the day before, and he couldn't resolve the issue all the way. Scotty, who did the worked had to play detective and find where the line was blocked. Using his camera and detector, he found it and also helped us find out the culprit to this consistent issue. I swear Scotty was so jazzed to have solved it; I was even happy for him. Great crew, great business. Price is fair, and they get the job done

Travis was the drain tech that came out to unclog the kitchen sink and he was very respectful and professional. Made quick work of the issue and didn't leave a mess behind. Very satisfied and happy, thank you very much! Also very affordable. He was perfectly on time, and a gentleman. Thank you Travis and Baxter Plumbing! Service: Drain cleaning

I first started using them when they were Cascade. I like the plumbers which is the only reason they didn't get one star. HOWEVER, in August my plumbing suddenly went from old and eh. To VERY BAD. I mean toilet backing up into my shower bad. I called them, they ran a camera, I paid them they said they'd send an estimate. I called back to accept the estimate, they ran a camera again and repeat.
Matter of fact, we repeated this process about 6 times. Each time the lady in the office said they'd A) come hydro jet or b) were coming to fix the problem yet the plumber would show up with orders of running a camera down the line. AGAIN. Finally, the 6 time I broke down and cried because I've paid them THOUSANDS of dollars to still have no working plumbing in my house.
She says this was to manipulate her husband because the last two times we didn't pay in full and paid the second payment late. It wasn't. It's February. I haven't had a working toilet or shower since August. I only kept using them because of the reputation of the company they bought out and I trusted the plumber, plus they're one of two plumbers I've found that will service my area.
At this point, I'd rather YouTube it and fix it myself than use their service. Still, I can't say that they are like this with everyone and as I've mentioned, the plumber is kind and tried to help every time. Had he been sent out in regards to the estimate I was calling them for, I'm sure he would have fixed the problem. Meanwhile, it seems, wife forgot this was a business call, not a personal call and decided to waste his and my time sending him out here without the actual requested order.
I even at one point specifically said, NO CAMERA. JUST REPLACE THE LINE, IT IS OLD AND NEEDS UPDATED ANYWAY. Guess what. He came and ran a camera and I got charged 700 bucks. Maybe I'll find a plumber before the year mark hits. All I know is I highly do not recommend them for services outside city limits as they seem to just Nickel and dime you.
And also, I refuse to pay them anymore money to smell like a heathen. They're lucky I'm patient and the prior owners had a good reputation or I'd have quit the first time they did the opposite of what I requested.

I had a generally really helpful time with Baxter. With a scheduling challenge. Pros: I called about two weeks ago to schedule an inspection of a drain. They were accommodating and thoughtful with their over the phone customer service. Specifically they asked detailed questions about what I thought might be the issue, and then made sure a particular piece of equipment was available when the tech was scheduled, so that they would not have to come out many times.
We had to reschedule a couple of times because of my schedule once, and once because of equipment they needed. They were generally very responsive and thoughtful with communication Cons (and why I cancelled on them): We had landed on a 3 hr timeframe this morning. When no one showed up or called me, I called right after noon to check in, and it seems I had (a) been scheduled for the afternoon (not true because I am methodical about calendarization), which it is possible that they changed but did not let me know, and (b) when I told the Customer Service Rep they had scheduled me for a 3 hr block in the AM the person on the line said "we don't schedule timeframes" - which is fair if that is true across their reps, except obviously they had scheduled a 3 hr time frame on my calendar from previous conversations - so the story did not seem straight to me, and I felt very disrespected - as if I was in the wrong.
Any company that starts with the assumption that I am in the wrong is not a company I want to employ (just to be clear, sometimes I (the customer) am in the wrong, and I may even have been in the wrong this time around :), but the assumption from the beginning, and the attitude that I am in the wrong without much listening- that is why I dropped you Baxter, and this review.)

I called the Baxter office at the end of my 3 hr window time to see what happened to the plumber for an estimate for the job. I told the girl in the officeI, I got called to my neighbors house to help her, in the meantime, during that 20 min period he came & went. I asked the girl what happened to the plumber she said, he came & went already. Why didn't he call me, leave his card?
The girl & another female associate in the background both agreed this was my mistake, I should have been at home. Never got asked as yet if I wanted to reschedule, they were on a negative fault. I said that's it, bye.

The leaking pipe was found under the house today, two days before Thanksgiving. The 9th phone call to local plumbers, and Baxter Plumbing had a cancellation and were able to come today. (Everyone else was at least 1 week away). They called to confirm they were en route to our home. Noah and Colby were friendly, professional, and knew what they were doing.
They identified the problem, and got it fixed, within hours, at a reasonable price. They are our new favorite plumbers and heroes. Thanks so much Baxter Plumbing. We couldn't be happier.

Updating the review. still more problems with the brand new water heater Baxter installed, no hot water 6 months later. They don't know what is wrong with it and turned up the thermostat when they came out instead of doing anything to fix it. Now it's still broken, still no hot water, and they won't come back out for another week! That'll be two weeks total with cold showers and a 6month old heater and no guarantee that they'll be fixing it then either. These people seem like they just don't know how to do their job. Beware of Baxter water heater jobs. they aren't the people to help.

When I called Baxter, I was in a full blown panic attack watching my livingroom ceiling leaking in multiple places. Baxter came to the rescue! Montana and Colby were at my home in 20 minutes. Found the leak in 5 minutes, and repaired it in 45 minutes! They were thorough and clear to explain and she me the problem while they fixed it. They even cleaned up the mess! I am proud to now have a plumber on my contact list for the next time I need any help! Why haven't you called them yet?

This is a declaration of how poorly I was treated by this company, its lack of professionalism, and what I believe to be was an attempt to 'milk' this job (aka over-charging) for all they could get. I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone. Two words best describe my unfortunate encounter with these dubious people: HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
I had two previous estimates on how to fix a leaking pipe under my home so when the con-man, Eric Ostrander, showed up wearing shorts/dressed casually with his very young (22?) assistant it was not a good first-impression conveying expertise. He had the boy crawl under the house with a very dim headlamp. The kid couldn't figure out what was wrong so Eric went into the bathroom and told me he had to tear out a wall to get at the piping into the bathroom.
First I'd heard of such nonsense. He was rude, abrasive and unprofessional. I won't go into the deceptive harshness I encountered in dealing on the phone with the office manager, Tracy Strode, what a b*tch. They told me they charge $155 an hr. and they clearly aren't worth it, let them cheat you for half of that. If you want to get ripped-off then use this disreputable company; you will get what you deserve for not heeding this advice.
And if you do encounter problems with Baxter's report them to Oregon's Construction Contractor's Board. Or if they do shoddy work and/or overcharge you for unnecessary repairs sue them in small claims court. POST SCRIPT - Tracy Strode replied and I tried to get my reply to her fictionalization of what happened added on Yelp but not to be so I had to supplement with this edit.
She is lying as I have both an email and phone message from "Tracy". You can add dishonest business practices to Baxter's. As for Eric the Terrible Plumber again Tracy falsifies what happened. Eric never explained anything to me and he never diagnosed anything other than turning on the faucet for about 10 seconds, it was both sad and insulting to have him in my home and realizing I was being scammed. Again, avoid this unscrupulous business! I needed a shower after they left to wash off the slime I was contaminated with from their trying to defraud me.

We had a delightful experience in working through Baxter. We contacted them about clogged drain issues and to our astonishment they came out that same day. Travis did a great job working with us. He was pleasantly attentive as well as thoughtful and patient in explaining our situation. He was thorough and efficient in the work he did. Baxter hit the bullseye in every way regarding this service for us. We could not be more pleased with their service.

Woke up this morning and our toilet wouldn't flush. We only have 1 bathroom in our house. With a 3 year old, that is potty trained, we needed this fixed today. I called 10 places, and when I called Baxter Plumbing they were able to get a technician out this morning. I was expecting them to come out around 12 or 3, and they were able to show up an hour after getting off the phone! Travis was very professional and explained everything in terms that I could understand. The price was very reasonable too! I'll definitely recommend them to anyone that needs plumbing services!

We had a shower valve break on us which necessitated taking out a common wall to get to. Once inside, we discovered a complete mess and we called Baxter to fix it. Their plumber was prompt, very friendly and efficient. He fixed it properly and quickly and came in a hundred dollars less than the estimate. Overall an excellent experience and highly recommend them.

I had the best experience with Baxter Plumbing and will not only use their services moving forward for my plumbing needs but I will highly recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber in the Eugene area. Booking the appointment was super easy and the woman who helped me (I think her name was Kelli) was so kind and efficient. The plumber showed up on time, immediately went to work and solved the leak immediately. The payment process was easy and the fee was affordable. I am so happy I have finally found a reliable plumber! Baxter is the best!

I needed a last minuet Plummer to hook up my water line and dishwasher. This company's price was average how ever the quickness to be able to do the job was amazing. I called them on Friday and they came the next Monday! The men are very friendly and clean about their work. I asked if they could I stall my sink and soup dispenser even tho it wasn't on the job list with no hesitation they said of course. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company! You won't retreat the service you get.

Called them for an issue with our water pressure. The first visit they did a flush on our pipes which didnt really fix anything, and we ended up paying full price ($600). Second visit- they came back to finish the job, and didnt charge us a cent. They were ethical, fair, and did a great job. We plan to use them again for future projects.

Because Baxter did a great job on my first problem, I asked for an estimate to install a code-compliant backflow preventer and whole-house on/off valve. The bid was timely and competitive. I also asked that they install a Rachio wireless flow meter that isn't well known yet in this area. The owner, Michael, and his team took the time to make sure it was installed per the directions from the company.
During the installation Aaron and Cooper were very professional and courteous to me and my wife. I am very happy with the work from Baxter and recommend you check them out for your project.
